I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved a great pair of vintage jeans. There are so many amazing places to find them—especially here in LA—but let’s be honest, it can take some serious time (and patience) to track down the right fit and wash.
Recently, I came across a little “hack” on TikTok that promised the same look—without the hunt. The idea was simple: buy a pair of Levi’s 501 ’90s and size up a few sizes. I’m typically a 27, so I decided to try a 29, 30, and 31. The 31 was way too big. The 30 could have worked, but still felt a bit too oversized. The 29? Absolutely perfect.
I love the way they fit—and I swear I haven’t taken them off since. It’s effortlessly cool, that “Oh these? I just threw them on,” vibe that makes you feel your best. What I especially love is how versatile they are. You can dress them down with a simple tee and ballet flats, or elevate the look with a feminine blouse and strappy sandals.
Bottom line: if you love that vintage denim look but don’t love the hunt, this is a vintage denim hack definitely worth trying.
