Valentine’s Day is not just about romantic love. Or at least I believe it shouldn’t be. I have just as much fun celebrating with friends, or treating myself to a little something special. Self love counts, too! Below, a few of the things we’re giving to the people who mean the most to us.
When I’m giving little things to friends around V Day, I’m always drawn to hearts. I love a good theme! It’s just a great way to tell people you’re thinking about them, and you love them. These Kule ankle socks in a cute heart print or the striped pair with heart details are no brainers. A maroon baseball hat with a tiny blue heart will hide even the worst of bad hair days. Embroidered linen cocktail napkins (with monogrammed initials) would be perfect to bring over with a bottle of wine.
Of course, there are a few big ticket items – either for yourself or a loved one. I am mostly talking about jewelry, like these adorable diamond heart-shaped studs or a sporty-meets-femme Tag Heuer watch with a hot pink face. But there are some investment-worthy pieces, like this cherry red insanely luxurious cashmere sweater. Or a classic Ralph Lauren cable-knit sweater in a more unexpected color, like a deep rich raspberry tone.
Fragrance might seem like a weird gift because it can be so personal. But there is nothing sexier than smelling good, and Baccarat Rouge 450 is one of the sexiest fragrances out there. Fragrance doesn’t just mean perfume, either. Lighting up a candle at the end of the day is one of my favorite rituals. This big rose Dipytque candle smells amazing, and comes in a gorgeous pink ceramic vessel you can use long after the candle itself is gone.
