At In The Groove, I’m always on the lookout for age-defying, stylish women. And you know where I can always find them? Instagram! That’s where we found Roz Kaur, who has an eclectic, colorful personal style that stood out to me right away. As someone who can get stuck in a neutral rut, she constantly inspires me to get out of my style comfort zone, and go for something a little more colorful. Below, she walks us through her favorite pieces from Anthropologie this spring and the style rules she lives by.
Hi, my name is Roz Kaur!
I’ve been a stylist for the past 27 years, and I’m a senior stylist at Anthropologie in Sacramento, California. I consider great styling to be an art form. My clothes have always been an extension of who I am on the inside, and I love experimenting and mixing it up. Great style is all about the juxtaposition, and the interesting ways you can layer pieces or break up the proportions of your outfit. I’m not into trends, I like to think more about timeless pieces. It’s not about how many pieces you have, but the quality of them! I’m all about a low cost per wear. You can always take pieces you already own and make them look brand new by changing the way you wear it. Below, a few of my favorite pieces for spring.
This Farm Rio striped maxi-dress is vibrant and beautiful on its own, but you can layer it over jeans too! The blue-and-white stripe on this maxi dress is perfect for warmer weather, and it’s also a layering heavyweight. This Peter Som dress is seriously high fashion at a more affordable price. You can’t go wrong with a high-rise, wide-leg jean, especially when their cropped at such a perfect length to show off your shoes. Everyone deserves a new white blouse for spring.
