I had pretty much given up on shorts altogether unless absolutely necessary. But the new Bermudas I’m seeing right now feel completely different — cooler, more polished, and surprisingly chic. These are not the Bermudas of years past. The proportions have changed in all the right ways: a little longer, a little looser, and infinitely more modern. And that subtle shift makes all the difference.
What I especially love is how versatile they are. They work with everything — sneakers, ballet flats, kitten heels, even a great sandal. Throw them on with a simple tee, an oversized button-down, or a blazer and suddenly your outfit feels current without trying too hard.
And perhaps my favorite part? So many of the new styles hit just below the knee, which makes them feel elegant, flattering, and incredibly wearable at this stage of life. To me, they’re one of the easiest ways to update your spring wardrobe while still feeling comfortable and polished. So it’s official! I’m back in shorts. Well, at least this version of them.
