The Best Purchases ITG Editors Made This Month

Just a bunch of the best stuff we've bought lately, from beauty to home to clothes.

The Best Purchases ITG Editors Made This Month

As editors, we get to try and buy a lot of things. But there are some things you buy that unexpectedly change your life. Today, our email is full of the best purchases we’ve made recently that we truly love and will buy again. From the perfect color-correcting makeup to a wear-everywhere shirt, from the fall candles of our dreams to home accessories that make us smile, these are the best things we bought this year.

Home

So often, the things that make the hugest difference in my day to day life are things I normally don’t think about. Like, for example, a super-amazing smelling hand-soap that also happens to be plant-based and come in a gorgeous bottle.

Or they’re things that make cooking easier, like this 3-pound bucket of Maldon sea salt flakes that I finish almost all my dishes with. It makes my food taste better, and me feel like a fancy chef. Same thing goes for this Brightland Olive Oil Duo, which really helps me step up my salad dressing and drizzle game thanks to the organically made, California grown olives.

Beauty

As I’ve aged, I noticed my skin is a little blotchier and redder than it was before. Erborian’s CC Color Correct cream has a green tint to it to cancel out the red, leaving me with a glowing, even complexion. Stila’s Color Correction Palette does the same thing, but is packed with other shades for every possible issue.

I never leave the house without mascara. It just makes me feel a little put together – open eyes make you look awake, after all. Lately I’ve been using this little heated curler first, and then Ilia’s volumizing mascara after. It’s an all-star combo.

Clothes

My favorite clothes aren’t hyper-trendy or showstopping dresses, they’re the pieces I wear over and over again. The kind of thing that effortlessly becomes part of my uniform. This cable-knit J.Crew sweater is heavy on the rotation right now, with jeans, trousers or even a silk midi skirt. I know this ATM white t-shirt is a bit of a splurge, but it is truly the best white t-shirt I’ve ever owned.

Finally, an everyday pair of denim like these super-high waisted, straight cut Everlane jeans and an elevated pair of sneakers like these Nike Daybreaks mean you’ll always look good.

Comment PODCAST, and we’ll DM you the full @sowhen Comment PODCAST, and we’ll DM you the full @sowhendoi episode. ✨ What if we stopped holding onto things that no longer serve us? This week, we’re talking to professional organizer and founder of Imagine It Done, Lisa Jacobs (@imagine.it.done) about why decluttering is about so much more than cleaning out a closet. Together, we’ll explore why it’s so hard to let go of our stuff, how clutter can affect our mental well-being, and why creating space in our homes can help us make room for the life we’re living today. We also share our own struggles with sentimental keepsakes, kids’ memorabilia, and the emotional side of letting go, while Lisa offers practical advice for getting started without feeling overwhelmed.

Whether you’re downsizing, buried in clutter, or simply ready for a fresh start, this episode might be just the motivation you need.
