Color Crush: The Chocolate Brown Pieces We’re Wearing

Fashion's favorite color this fall.

Color Crush: The Chocolate Brown Pieces We’re Wearing

There’s something about chocolate brown that’s so rich and elegant, it’s downright delicious. It’s a more unexpected color than the usual black, and plays just as well with colors like grey, light blue, and white as it does monochrome. From sexy suede to cozy cashmere, shop our favorites now.

Brown is one of those weird neutrals that can seem hard to wear at first. But you need to remember two things. The first, that you can wear it with black! And the second? That it looks exceptionally great with blue. I love layering a sweater over a blue or striped button down, like this Banana Republic v-neck sweater, this chunkier Mango cardigan, and this COS cashmere crewneck would all do the trick.

If you want to elevate a look, making it monochromatic is the easiest trick. There’s something so luxurious about drenching yourself in one color. This wide leg pant from Banana Republic pairs well with so many different silhouettes, like this long sleeve layering top from COS or this balloon-sleeve poplin blouse. On the more formal side, you can wear a cozy crewneck sweater with a beautiful big coat like this Mango one. And when in doubt, throw on this ME + EM cape. Nothing says luxury like a cape.

There is such a depth and richness to brown that really shines when you switch up the textures. And texture can be the difference between an okay outfit and a truly great one. Mango’s suede utility jacket and Me + Em’s leather jacket are two memorable outerwear pieces you barely have to style. COS’s leather folio is a two for one – the high-gloss shine of the patent and the embossed croc pattern. Shlepping gets a lot more stylish when you’re using this giant Mango shopper tote!

We had such a great conversation with nutritionist We had such a great conversation with nutritionist and exercise physiologist @heidiskolnik about what we should actually be eating, why protein and muscle matter so much as we age, and how to use GLP-1s without forgetting about the health of the body underneath the weight loss.
Whether you’re taking a GLP-1, considering one, or simply want to know how to stay strong and healthy as you get older, there is so much good information here.
And, as always, we asked the questions we wanted answered too.
