I am obsessing at the moment over COS’s new fall delivery—although honestly, it feels more like pre-fall, which is exactly why I’m loving it. Let me tell you why. This time between summer and fall is always a little tricky. It’s still bloody hot outside, but I’m officially over dressing like it’s the middle of July. I’m ready to start looking and feeling like fall is coming—even if the weather hasn’t gotten the memo.
The trick is finding pieces that feel seasonally forward but are still light enough to actually wear now. COS has nailed it. There are beautiful, easy silhouettes, richer colors, and those slightly more interesting shapes that make even a simple outfit feel current. These are pieces I can start wearing now and easily carry into fall by changing a shoe, adding a layer, or throwing on a jacket when the temperature finally cooperates.
And yes, there are a few things I’m completely obsessed with that will have to wait for cooler weather—like this gorgeous belted leather jacket. Although knowing me, I may just throw it over my shoulders the minute the evenings get even slightly cooler.
What I especially love about COS is that so many of their pieces look much more expensive than they are. The shapes feel modern without being overly trendy, and there’s always something just a little unexpected—which is exactly what keeps a wardrobe feeling fresh.
