I’m getting excited about dressing from the feet up again. When was the last time you planned an outfit around showing off your footwear?? It’s been forever! And every single pair of shoes from Flattered is worthy of being shown off. The brand is made in Spain with a Scandinavian sensibility, and the result is modern, minimalist shoe silhouettes at an affordable price point.
Flattered started out in ballet flats, so that’s where I’m going to start too. Their Polly shoe comes in a beautiful cream or khaki color, with a thick bow that feels chic instead of childish. Major Audrey Hepburn vibes. But if bows aren’t your style, their square-toed Nikki flat in an elegant brown hue might do it for you. It also comes in a subtly quilted black version.
I’m not going to dive back into sky-high stilettos anytime soon, but I do want to start working a heel back into my regular rotation. Enter the Odessa: a mule with a low block heel. The puffy, braided leather upper feels like Bottega Veneta, and I’m obsessed with the black and white version. It comes in an orange-y tan and an all-black iteration, too.
Their Melissa slides are flats, but they feel fancy enough if you need some training wheels before going straight to heels. Their Lou sandal is effortlessly elegant and made with vegan leather. The black is beautiful but I’m also partial to the beige. These straw slides are perfect for your first, long-awaited vacation.
Finally: my beloved loafers. It’s the chicest shoe in the world, I’m sure of it. The Sara is a perfect version of a penny loafer. All that’s missing is the penny! They also have a dark brown version with white stitching for a little more edge.
