Every year, before I start shopping for other people, I put together my own list first. After all, ’tis the season to dream big. From indulgent statement sweaters to show stopping jewelry, shop everything we’re hoping to open up this holiday season.
Right now, more than anything else, I have cashmere and other cozy fabrics on the brain. Maybe it’s because it finally got cold in LA, but I’m dreaming of chunky, super-soft pieces like this Jenni Kayne cable knit crewneck, Banana Republic’s colorful striped number, or AQUA’s crewneck with a cute doodle on it.
In fact, any upgrade to my winter wardrobe would be really appreciated. I love these lug sole suede Gucci boots, which I’m picturing with jeans and this super-chic wool scarf coat from Lamarque. Or this cashmere puffer from Quince!
I love jewelry. I just love it. I’ve gotten a few pairs of earrings from Dorsey in years past, and I wear them constantly. It’s a great way to get a high-end look at a lower price point than the fine jewelry brands. Their lab-grown stones are just as sparkly and fabulous, like their Kate Riviere necklace or their Victorian-inspired Maxwell earrings. On the more boho end of the jewelry spectrum, I love Chan Luu’s necklace dotted with gemstone pendants would look incredible with an oversized white button down.
There are some gifts that aren’t necessarily sexy, but will make your life much, much better. Bose’s noise canceling headphones in a pretty sand color with metal accents will make every flight a quiet, peaceful trip. Dyson’s cult-favorite hairdryer makes your blowouts a breeze. Or a very comfortable pair of Vince slippers for padding around the house on cold mornings.
