Spring trends are here, and it’s all about rediscovering the joy of dressing up and getting to leave the house. More people are getting vaccinated every day, and this is what I’ll be wearing when I head out into the slowly reopening world.
Printed Dress
A printed dress works two ways: if you’re leaving the house, it feels like you’re dressing up. But even if you’re just swanning around at home, it can be really, really comfortable. Adding a fun print or color just makes the whole thing feel even more fun. This groovy print from Anthropologie, this pink flower dress from Mango, and this midnight-colored floral dress from Shoshanna are all updated takes on hippy dippy style. I love this Liberty of London print on a big-skirted J.Crew silhouette. It feels retro and modern at the same time. Extra-large blooms on this Rixo London dress, yellow butterflies on this Anthropologie dress, and this ruffled, fruity dress all make it feel like spring has definitely sprung.
Femme White Blouse
Yes, I love a white shirt. But this season, I’m going a little extra with it. Think super-femme details, intricate sleeves, and seasonal fabrics. If you like the look of a tuxedo shirt, then you’ll really like this ruffled, puffed-sleeve version. I love this extra-large, pleated collar. Nothing says spring and summer more than eyelet, and LoveShackFancy does eyelet very well. Short-sleeve cotton poplin is perfect for warmer temps, and I would wear with my next favorite trend…
Wide Leg Pants
These printed pants in a cornflower blue palette are stunning. I’m going to wear with a white shirt and leather slides all summer long. Mint green silk pajama pants from Club Monaco bring the style and the comfort. How about some wide-leg khaki-colored pants for a vintage Ralph Lauren moment? It’s not summer without some cool linen pants from the queen herself, Eileen Fisher.
Tevas
Sporty sandals are here to stay! Even in a post-vaccine world where I’m out and about again, I’m still prioritizing comfort when it comes to my feet. I love the way these strappy, sporty sandals look with everything from long skirts to white jeans. It’s also a great way to add a little unexpected color or fun to your outfit.
These navy bandana sandals are absolute showstoppers. Suicoke’s white pair and black pair are an ode to Japanese minimalism. How about this hot-pink-and-turquoise pair? This femme floral print or this leopard print round out my favorites.
