There are many kinds of mothers out there, all deserving of appreciation and recognition. Maybe you’re buying a gift for a friend who just became a grandma, a daughter who’s an overwhelmed new mom, or just something for yourself! Our Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2024 edition is full of the most perfect Mother’s Day presents – no matter who you’re giving it to.
When in doubt, give (or ask for) jewelry. Julie Cos is one of my favorite brands to get a lot of look at a pretty fair price. The chunky, gold-plated jewelry works alone or stacked up for a more maximalist angle. A heart pendant necklace and a honeybee statement necklace are two great examples. Brinker and Eliza’s semi-precious stones bracelet and a nautical charm necklace stacked with stones and vintage charms are at a similar price point. And if you’re really going for it, go for something classic like Cartier’s Tank Americaine watch.
This rainbow crystal stripe tumbler isn’t real jewelry, but it looks like it! In fact, a prettier version of an everyday item is a great gifting strategy. A pretty blonde tortoiseshell Apple Watch band, a really beautiful pair of brass salt and pepper grinders, a blue-and-white vase for fresh flowers , or a colorful ceramic French press all embody that philosophy.
It’s not a surprise that I love clothing. I love getting it as a gift, but I tend to give classics. Everybody loves a poplin shirt, but this Alex Mill shirt in a peony color feels special. Alex Mill always makes modern updates like this oatmeal-colored cardigan. A Veronica Beard pink blazer is a splurge you’ll be wearing for wears to come.
And of course, if you can’t be there in person to exchange a gift, you can always send flowers. I love this bouquet of UrbanWorks peonies. They’re one of my favorite flowers in case anyone feels like sending some to me.
