The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the few big, legendary department store sales still around. It’s the perfect way to set yourself up for sartorial success once summer is over. From leather jackets to ankle boots, beauty bargains to gold hoops, whatever you might need this year is at Nordstrom. And, more importantly, it’s on sale.
Looking ahead to fall, I always use browse the coat section during the Sale to snag a good investment piece. This season? I’ve got my eyes on this AllSaints leather bomber, coming in around the $300 mark. It reminds me of Phoebe Philo’s collection and is a much more polished upgrade to my more athletic satin bomber that I wear everywhere. A leather biker jacket might be even cooler – go with a traditional black from Avec Les Filles or a warm chestnut color from Rag and Bone (which will become even more beautiful as it ages!).
This baby blue cotton collared sweater is perfect for breezy summer nights now, but you can layer it under a jacket later. In fact, it seems like the collared sweater is having a moment. I love this cream Veronica Beard one with contrast piping, too.
Boots! The Anniversary Sale is synonymous with boots to me, and it’s the perfect time to get a fresh pair of everyday ankle boots like this black Rag & Bone pair, these chestnut Veronica Beard, or a square-toed black leather pair from Vince.
One of the most indulgent things about my beauty routine? Augustinus Bader’s Rich Cream. It’s annoying of me to say, but it’s the rare beauty product I think is worth every single penny. Snapping up some travel sizes on sale was the top of my To Buy list. A couple other beauty favorites: the Dennis Gross Extra Strength Daily Peel for glowing skin, a travel-sized La Mer pouch, and the Westman Atelier Skin Activator Serum set.
