I’ve always been obsessed with French style, and it’s easy to see why. French women just get it. It’s all about creamy cheese, cold champagne, and chic-as-hell clothing. Sézane is a brand that feels quintessentially French but is still accessible to all of us Americans. Flirty boot cut cropped jeans, silky blouses, and layerable knits will add a certain je ne sais quoi to your wardrobe this season.
Nothing is more French than a striped sweater or t-shirt, and Sezane’s navy and white version is extra-cozy. Their Mariniere is a lighter version that’s easily layerable. Some other classic French staples? A high-waisted pair of perfectly tailored trousers like the 70s trouser in white, the black buttoned Marino trousers, or these ice blue Martin pants.
Sometimes all you want is a new sweater to snuggle into. I’ve been eyeing this Angelie cardigan, which has a lace-y detailing that reminds me of a very beautiful tablecloth (complimentary!). Same goes for this black Abigael jumper. This white ribbed Gary jumper and this soft-gray cardigan are both excellent ways to upgrade your daily uniform. For something a little more special, I love this Aretha jumper with puffy sleeves in a cool ice blue color.
I’m super into animal prints this year and they’ve been popping up in new, sophisticated ways. The Gianni sweater is made of mohair and the extra texture really ups the elegance factor. On the warmer side of things, the Andrew Coat‘s leopard print is a great way to make a statement. I really love the classic lapel collar.
Don’t forget about their accessories! The Amy loafers have familiar horse bit hardware and fun tassels. A chunky gold chain necklace is a perfect finishing touch to any outfit. A brown leather bucket bag is a timeless investment.
