If summer had an official fabric, it would be linen. Lightweight, breathable and effortlessly chic, it’s the fabric I find myself reaching for year after year. This summer, though, it seems to be having a real moment—and I’m not complaining.
When I think about building a great summer wardrobe, a few key linen pieces are always at the top of my list. They’re timeless, incredibly versatile and somehow manage to make every outfit feel polished without looking like you tried too hard.
I have four linen pieces that I’m wearing on repeat right now, and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them. They’re the pieces I keep reaching for because they make getting dressed so easy. But I didn’t stop there. I’ve also rounded up lots of other linen favorites because we all have different styles, and there are so many great options this season. Whether you’re looking for a dress, shirt, pants or something in between, I think you’ll find a few pieces you’ll love.
One of the things I love most about linen is that it never feels like you’re trying too hard. It always looks relaxed, polished and perfectly at home on a warm summer day. And yes, it wrinkles—but I’ve decided that’s part of its charm. Those little wrinkles say summer is being enjoyed, not perfectly pressed.
