You know how Diddy used to throw his famous white party every summer? Consider this white edit our sartorial tribute to it. When summer rolls around, I always gravitate towards white. White jeans, white shirts, and white sneakers.
White jeans just feel so much lighter than the blue washes I reach for most of the year. By keeping it light and bright in a perfect pair of jeans, I can weather both the evening temperature drops and sunshine. These Mother jeans are so stylish thanks to the high-waist and slightly cropped, wide-legged silhouette. J.Crew’s slouchy boyfriend jeans are perfect for a drink by the beach. The Boyish straight jean gives you a more slender fit but with a little more room than a skinny. And of course, if you’re still rocking your skinnies, J.Crew’s toothpick jeans are for you.
When it comes to shirts, you need to be stocked up in t-shirts and button downs. As far as t-shirts go, Everlane always has what you need whether it’s crewneck, or oversized. COS has a ton of modern, sleek shirts like this regular fit with just enough structure. Jenni Kayne has a great basic tee, too. Mango’s oversized poplin shirt is perfect for everyday use. For more of a statement shirt, this Alex Mill poplin shirt with a puff sleeve would look amazing tucked into Bermuda shorts. What about a romantic ruffle neck on this J.Crew shirt?
Finally, slip into a fresh pair of sneakers. I tend to keep it pretty classic, because I want it to go with everything in a no-fuss, easy way. Right now, I’m really into these Nike Daybreak sneakers. They’re the perfect balance of retro and right now. Chuck Taylors, Stan Smiths, and Supergas all do the job, too.
