’ve been pulling double duty when it comes to my accessories lately. I love a big tote as much as the next gal, but I hate rummaging around looking for my wallet or a lip gloss. In order to stay more organized, I’ve been putting a cute clutch into the bag that holds all my essentials. It helps when the clutch is extra-cute, too! This two-purse combination is a fun way to think about mixing and matching. For example, my favorite combo right now is this emerald green Dragon Diffusion woven leather bag and this clutch from Leatherology. The colors and textures are extremely interesting together, and they’re a perfect bridge from late summer into fall. Woven leather is a great look in general, like this tote from Anthropogie in either a gold or a warm yellow.
Of course, with fall coming in soon, I’m also thinking about a big, luxurious leather tote. Call it my back-to-school bag. M.Gemi’s Elena Grande tote is as classic as it gets – but the raspberry color gives it a fresh take. The same thing goes for Mark and Graham’s leather tie tote, which comes in a cheery tangerine color (and a very chic gold monogram!).
When you’re going classic with the bag, mix it up a little bit with your clutch for a fun little surprise. M.Gemi’s convertible clutch plays with structure and form in a fun way – and the deep blue color keeps things from getting too crazy. Mansur Gavriel’s oversized cloud clutch gives off a Bottega Veneta vibe with it’s fluffy-looking shape and super soft leather.
Tuckernuck’s cream-and-tan canvas tote helps you hold on to summer for as long as possible, and I love pairing it with a simple preppy leather striped pouch from Mark & Graham.
