This month, I have a lot on my mind. I’m turning 66, and it’s making me think about a lot. Specifically, how I can be as sustainable as possible in my life. So, the thing that I’m loving for August is sustainable fashion. It’s all about being a conscious consumer, and every brand highlighted in this email are sustainable fashion brands. I’m really excited about it. I hope you are, too.
Reformation
My birthday dress this year is this crimson-red showstopper of a Rochelle dress from Reformation. They also make really great denim, with flattering and modern cuts like the Cynthia in blue or doodle white. They also make beautiful and wearable tops, like this Linen shirt, that will go with anything.
Westman Atelier
Gucci Westman’s cult-favorite makeup line has truly become one of my beauty obsessions. The line is totally green, and comes in packaging so beautiful you can leave it out on your vanity. The Baby Cheeks tint is a favorite of mine and gives you a pop of color without drying out your skin. The Eye Pods give your eyelids an illuminating wash of subtle sparkle.
Rothy
Rothy’s are shoes and bags that are washable, and made from recycled water bottles. I love these leopard-print loafers with red-hot piping. If you’re crazy for wild cat prints like me, it also comes in a sleek sneaker. How about a pretty pink flat with a pointy toe?
Sundance
Sundance has a breezy, bohemian design sensibility that results in easy-to-wear separates and fun accessories. I love the cropped length of these jeans, and the slouchy silhouette of these white boyfriend jeans.
DL1961
This is your new favorite pair of jeans, trust me. Whether you’re a dedicated white jeans fan, a full-blown bootcut babe, or a vintage-inspired straight leg, you’ll find something fresh enough for the fall.
