Maybe it’s the long, summer nights or maybe it’s peony season at Trader Joe’s, but I just can’t stop thinking pink this month. Apparently everyone else in fashion is too, because every shade of pink imaginable seems to be trending. Valentino even has its own shade of highlighter-neon pink! From bubblegum to Pepto-Bismol, pastels to neons, what I’m loving for June is all shades of pink.
In the header image, I’m wearing this pink suit from Mango (blazer here, trousers here). And to finish the look off, I’m wearing Gucci horsebit mules in the palest blush pink. These are such a fun, classic silhouette and the pink is so pale that it reads more like a neutral!
Jackets and sweaters are a great way to add a little pink without the commitment of a fully monochrome look. Buru’s boxy pink tweed blazer is giving me major Chanel vibes, and this belted Maje blazer is giving me 90s Chanel vibes. A linen-weight blazer is a must for summer, and Rag & Bone’s hot-pink version would make Barbie proud.
On the more casual side, this Mango cotton sweatshirt, this cable-knit Brooks Brothers sweater, or this J.Crew cashmere cardigan all look just as good on as they do worn around your waist or tied around the shoulders. A pink-and-white striped button down is femme and fresh, and a linen hot pink one would look great with white denim.
If you’re ready to go for top-to-bottom pink, but don’t want to deal with separates then you should stock up on dresses! It’s a bold, easy statement piece that can keep you breezy all summer. J.Crew’s peony-colored cotton poplin dress is a stunner, and you can easily wear it with a fun pair of woven heels or slip into some braided slides. Voila, instant look!
Don’t forget about accessories! If you’re more of a neutral person, you can always dip a toe into the color pool with a pair of fun sunglasses, a cute going-out purse, or a rope tote for beach days.
