Picking one color palette for your outfit immediately elevates it into something more thoughtful, special, and expensive looking. In the summer, there’s few things that look nicer than the white hot pairing of sun-kissed skin and crisp white clothes. Just make sure you keep a Tide pen or two in your purse.
I love the blank canvas of a white dress. You can layer on colorful jewelry or a statement shoe, but it’ll always feel elevated. This drop-waist dress from COS is on the top of my list, as is this oversized short sleeve shirtdress. Eyelet is a great way to add texture and interest to an otherwise simple dress, like this embroidered Mango dress. It comes with a belt for a super flattering cinched waist. Me + Em’s shirred cheesecloth dress is another way to play with texture.
In the summer, I love an easy pant with an elastic waist for the ease and freedom. There are even some very cute tassels on these wide leg Anthropologie pants. But! Sometimes you want to feel a little more dressed up. A linen trouser is the perfect way to keep it a little more polished without sweating through your pants. These Banana Republic pants or these darted Mango trousers are great options. Top it off with a white button down like this linen Graham and Spencer shirt, this ruffled poplin Alex Mill shirt, or this J.Crew popover top.
Finally, because I really believe you can never have enough, here are a few of my favorite white t-shirts: AYR’s u-neck with the slightest flutter sleeves, AYR’s boxier cropped crewneck, Banana Republic’s supima blend v-neck, and Gap’s fitted v-neck. P.S., don’t forget a fresh white sneaker to finish off the look!
