When I’m buying something on sale, I want to know that it will last longer than the dopamine hit from clicking ‘buy’. Less stuff, higher quality – that is the mantra of all conscientious online shoppers. Shoes are a great way to avoid the trap because you can wear them so many different way. Consider these extremely sleek Michael Kors ankle boots: comfortable heel, striking silhouette, and goes with everything! Or these black Stuart Weitzman kitten heel slingbacks, which are perfectly on-trend this season.
I’m a pants girl. When I feel bad about myself, I always reach for the right pair of pants to feel a little more like me. These slightly cropped Mother jeans are just the right amount of 70s-inspired and modern. All the better to show off your ankle boots or favorite heels. I also love these longer, true wide-leg jeans which are truly so flattering on everyone. Wear them with the most perfect t-shirt in the world, ATM’s slub jersey shirt, and feel your daily uniform step it up.
Finally, fall is well on the way. The heat wave has broken in Los Angeles and chilly mornings are starting to creep in. Yes, that means I’m thinking about sweaters. An extra thin black long sleeve woven tee, from Theory, looks as good with sweats as trousers. Later when it’s properly cold, I’ll throw this open-faced cashmere blazer over it.
