The other big ticket item this time of year? Boots! When I have the right pair of boots, they’re basically all I wear from October to February. After years of being a bootie disciple, I’m drawn to a taller boot. Maybe because I’ve been wearing so many more skirts and dresses! Khaite’s Marfa boot has some Western flair and it’s cut close, so you can still wear under your favorite pants. Staud’s Wally boot clocks in at half the price, but still real leather and the real look.
Miu Miu’s boat shoes are everywhere right now. These are such a great transitional shoe! They’re like the stoner older brother to a loafer’s valedictorian little sister. Steve Madden’s boat shoes have all of the charm at under $100. I’m wearing mine with a scrunched down brightly colored sock for emphasis.
