Spring has officially sprung, and I’m on the hunt for a dress or two that can carry me all the way through summer.At this point in my life, I really appreciate pieces that make getting dressed feel easy — and for me, nothing does that better than a great dress. The perfect one is effortless, versatile, and somehow works for almost everything on the calendar.
I want a dress I can throw on during the day with sneakers or sandals… and then easily dress up at night with a little heel, jewelry, and a great bag. The kind of piece that feels polished without trying too hard. Lately, I’ve been especially drawn to neutrals, soft tones, and white — dresses that feel timeless, relaxed, and endlessly wearable. They just seem to go with everything and always look chic. These are a few currently sitting in my cart right now and honestly – narrowing it down may be the hardest part.
J.Crew Cotton Poplin Dress, $188
I think a white dress is always a good idea in the summer. This one from J.Crew feels classic in the best possible way. I love the buttons all the way down the front, the easy silhouette, and the fact that it looks like something you could wear over and over again without ever getting tired of it.
COS always does such a great job with easy, modern dresses for spring and summer. And of course, this butter yellow immediately caught my eye — definitely the color of the season. I also love the sleeves on this one, which may ultimately be what convinces me to order it.
