The Alex Mill Pieces We’re Living In Right Now

Everyday essentials that are anything but basic.

The Alex Mill Pieces We’re Living In Right Now

Alex Mill is the kind of brand that already feels timeless. You can feel the ghost of great American fashion brands like J.Crew and Polo in their classic designs, from their great-fitting jeans to everyday knitwear pieces you’ll live in this fall. Shop our favorites from the brand now.

Let’s start with the everyday pieces. I truly believe you can never have too many white shirts, and the Jo Shirt in poplin has earned it’s place in my rotation. I also love it in pale blue, which feels very on-trend. This long-sleeved boatneck t-shirt hits all the right French notes without feeling outdated.

Sweater season is coming, and after some moths worked their way through a stack of mine, I’m in desperate need of a refresh. I’m focusing on thinner knits that can be layered when it starts to get actually cold. But that doesn’t mean it has to be boring! I love this striped cotton-cashmere cardigan. Look at the very subtle roll-neck detail! It also comes in solids, like this perfect navy version. I also like this Greene St sweater, which has a more prim and proper vibe.

When I was moving stuff around in my closet the other day, I realized where I need the most help: transitional jackets! Alex Mill has a great selection of short, easy-to-wear jackets that you can throw on over tees or even sweats to feel a little more put together. The barn jacket is everywhere right now but this Alex Mill version feels special. The denim is a more casual touch, and I love the red silky lining in the sleeves! And speaking of red, their sweater jacket is a standout too. From the rich tomato red color to the cute toggle buttons, it’s a sweater to snuggle up in.

Wendy shares stories from building her career in Hollywood, championing projects no one believed in at first, and navigating success in a male-dominated industry without losing her authenticity. In this episode, we talk about intuition, resilience, confidence, creative longevity, and what happens when you stop waiting for permission to trust yourself.
