#Bloomiespartner
Aqua is one of those brands that’s been around forever, and is always good. As Bloomingdale’s in-house line, they usually have a really fun mix of trendy and classic, some fun colors, and is really fairly priced. Whatever your style needs are, Aqua has a piece that will fulfill it!
I know I said Aqua does trendy really well, but it’s become one of my go-to places for a more tailored take on some of the out there trends of the season. Like this crochet granny square sweater, for example. Crochet is everywhere right now but I love that this sweater still provides some coverage. There’s also been a bit of a resurgence in plisse a la Pleats Please, which I’ve always thought is a timeless and chic choice. This black plisse top and pants set is at a much friendlier price point than Issey Miyake, but no less stylish.
This season I’ve been really drawn to romantic, feminine pieces. Which is not my standard! Usually it’s all menswear-inspired and neutrals. The pepto pink tweed lady jacket I’m wearing in the header image is a perfect example, which also comes in an icy lilac shade for the pink-averse. A blue-and-white toile midi dress with a palm pattern feels positively Palm Royale. A frilly white eyelet top and skirt set will feel like a breath of fresh air when the summer really hits.
They have really great basics with a bit of flair, too. A striped cotton crewneck sweater perfect for all your upcoming beach days? Check. An oversized button-down is a staple in my everyday uniform, but this blue-and-white striped version or this buttery yellow option are a welcome departure from my usual white.
Sometimes, all you need is a new seasonal shoe to breathe new life into your older pieces. A tuxedo-y black and white loafer, a chunky rope espadrille platform, or a chic rattan slip on sandal will instantly update your look for spring.
