That getting there is 90% if it? By that thinking, having cute new workout clothes will actually help you work out more. And when it comes to cute clothes, I’ve been relying on Athleta more than any other brand lately.
In fact, Athleta’s clothes just don’t motivate you to get to the gym or your Pilates class. The high-tech fabric and thoughtful design actually help you perform better. How many times have you had to hike up your leggings because they don’t stay on your waist? Or fiddle with a sports bra that just doesn’t fit right? Now, all you’ll have to focus on is getting through your next set.
We’ll start with the most functional basics: the leggings. Athleta’s soft-luxe high rising legging is perfect for yoga, which is super soft but still offers the right amount of support. It’s the Goldilocks of leggings. You feel sucked in, but not suffocated. These Elation High Rise Flare Pants are the same fabric, but a little more flattering silhouette.
There are always a sea of young women in my pilates classes just wearing their sports bra. Not me! I like a little more coverage. The long-sleeve ascent top keeps me from feeling naked, but it’s still sleek enough to keep from feeling dowdy. I also love the sporty appeal of the close-fitting Salutation jacket.
This flurry henley is also a fantastic layering piece. The ribbing on the inside of the sleeves, thumb holes, and snap buttons are all wonderful details that elevate it. Cute enough to feel put together during your after-workout coffee run, even if you’re a little sweaty. Their Alpaca crewneck sweater definitely deserves to take a spin out with your favorite jeans and sneakers, not just your athletic wear.\
