Boden is a brand I’ve fallen in love with recently. It hits all the sweet spots: feminine, fun, a little bit preppy, a little bit sporty, and infinitely wearable. And my favorite part? The colors! So many of the pieces remind me of the Jenna Lyons J.Crew era, and I know you’ll love them too.
Boden’s striped knitwear is one of the biggest standouts for me. The stripes are large and bold, in a scale that feels modern. There are so many different color options and sweater silhouettes! This cashmere crewneck sweater in a deliciously rainbow of stripes reminds me of Christopher John Rogers, one of my favorite major designers. The Hotch Potch cardigan is a beautiful mish-mash of primary colors that feels like something from a great 90s collection of Bennetton or Gap. Looking ahead to warmer days, I love this pink-and-red cotton sweater vest or a kelly green-and-cream version.
They even do striped shirts extremely well, with their own spin on the Breton stripe in long-sleeve t-shirts like this white and navy version or this light blue and white stripe. You can play with color in a more solid way, by which I mean with actual solids like this hot pink cotton rib cardigan or a peachy pink knit henley top. I’ve also had my eye on this cheery sunshine yellow lady jacket, which I want to style with a cropped pair of pants and ballet flats when the weather finally turns.
Florals for spring might not be groundbreaking, but this airy cotton shirt dress in a floral paisley pattern of pinks and blues feels like a breath of fresh air right now! I also love the dainty illustrations of this silk shirt, perfect for pairing with your favorite jeans.
