COS is one of the few brands that feels effortlessly elegant, intelligent, and adult. Kind of like a more affordable Phoebe Philo-era Celine. Their hot streak continues this season, with the precise tailoring and clean, contemporary lines that the brand is known for. From the perfect wide-leg pants to knitwear with flair, shop our fall edit of COS’s best pieces now.
I think COS’s tailoring is as chic and well-done as just about any luxury brand out there, so I tend to gravitate towards their pants first. If you’re looking for structured but oversized pants, these black trousers are going to be your go-tos this fall. I also love the tapered, sleek fit of these pleated chinos, which combine menswear and womenswear in the best way. Their denim trouser is high on my wishlist, which adds instant polish to your usual jeans-and-tee uniform. And don’t forget that old fall favorite corduroy, with this slouchy, elegant black corduroy pant.
Another area COS excels in? Tops and sweaters that are just one step above a basic, and can pull together an entire outfit in an instant. This silk-blend white polo is a favorite for skirts, jeans, and trousers. A paper-thin long-sleeved t-shirt in a fiery red makes for a perfect layering piece. This oversized silk-blend top feels like a super-luxurious sweatshirt, and it comes in a white or a navy. A knitted half-zip sweater in a nautical navy-and-white works with everything from white jeans to wool trousers.
Finally, they usually have a few stand-out statement pieces. This mohair sweater with a landscape-inspired print in pinks, purples, browns, and greens is artsy without being overwhelming. This denim half-zip midi dress feels expensive and elegant, especially if you pair it with a knee-high boot.
