Frank and Eileen have finally launched denim – and I couldn’t be more excited about it. With their white button-downs on my all-time favorite shirt list, it only makes sense that I can finish off my daily uniform with a pair of their new jeans. The only question is, which jean is right for you?
So far, the Monaghan is my favorite. It’s their take on the mom jean, but these aren’t your mother’s jeans. They’re high-rise, seventies-inspired, and cropped at the perfect ankle-hitting length. The Italian vintage denim is a less stretchy denim that molds to your body perfectly.
The Flannigan jean is a little more dramatic, with an extra-long length, a high waist, and a stylish flare starting at the knees. It’s the kind of jean I usually reach for to dress up denim for date night – or just a few drinks with the girls. I think it’s especially dress-up worthy in a darker wash, like this jet black or this 70s-inspired dark indigo wash.
And with proper fall weather for the first time in LA this fall, I can finally wear my sweaters without feeling silly. Plus, you know I love a piece that pulls double-duty. Their Monterey sweater is a rolled funnel neck sweater with a slightly cropped length. But my favorite part is the truly luxe feel of the cotton sweater. It’s a perfect mid-weight top that makes perfect sense for me in LA, in either navy, cream or a truly timeless camel.
Layering is an art, and you can’t forget your final flourish: outerwear. Of all their new pieces, I think I might find their Tipperary coat the most compelling. It looks like an English trench coat, and it drapes like an English trench coat, but it’s made out of Frank and Eileen’s classic triple fleece. Trust me – that makes this coat your coziest one yet.
