We love Mara Hoffman. We don’t know her but we have so many reasons to love her. First of all, she “knows” us. She knows that we want to look current but without trying too hard. She knows that comfort is of paramount importance, and that includes the good luxurious feeling of lovely fabrics. She knows that we like standing out in a crowd but not in a “look at me” screaming kind of way.
Mara Hoffman founded her label in 2000 after graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Fifteen years later, the brand committed itself to implementing more sustainable and responsible practices.
Mara Hoffman claims that she “presents each of her collections with a devotion to color, each inspired by and in celebration of women.” We can actually feel the effects of her efforts as we fall deeply in love with her feminine dresses, jackets, blouses, and even the usually regrettable bathing suit.
Hoffman takes a military styled blazer military styled blazer and tightly belts it, making the most girlie but chic statement.
This angelic white off the shoulder dress off the shoulder dress is classic Mara Hoffman and so subtle that it is actually really sexy, for when you want to cover up, but not really.
Mara’s (we are on a first name basis now) red is the warmest color in her palette and we couldn’t love this fully sleeved, cinched waisted grown up dress any more. With raffia slides or sky-high mules, this devil in a poppy red dress will definitely impress.
Finally, every bridal show has its’ finale showstopper and this one is our pick for Hoffman hall of fame.
Outdoor wedding anyone?
