I’m always on the lookout for new, interesting brands that don’t break the bank. I was scrolling on Instagram one day when Dissh floated across my feed – in fact, it was the same dress I’m wearing in the header image! The Australian brand makes effortless dresses, tops, and pants that you can dress up or down easily. They’re in easy fabrics like linen or silk, and they’re the kind of classic-with-a-twist that will last you for many seasons.
The dresses are what I fell in love with first, so that’s what we’ll start with! I already mentioned that this is the dress I’m wearing in the picture, but it also comes in a more formal black. This ribbed, knit dress has long sleeves so it’s perfect for wearing while there’s still a chill in the air, but the white color feels transitional. I also think the stone color is a great option, and the sandy beige shade is one of the brand’s signature colors. Their Monty black cotton dress will be one of my favorites this summer, thanks to the easy breezy nature of the strapless silhouette.
One thing DISSH does incredibly well is a polished, but still wearable for everyday top. Swapping out your basic t-shirt for their Ada long-sleeve top will take your uniform up a notch. The brand is famous for their linen pieces, and this Luna oversized shirt shows you why. It’s a neutral but still interesting thanks to the artsy, black geometric design. But you don’t have to go big, you can stick with an upgraded white cotton shirt or their slouchy t-shirt.
They make really great suiting separates, like this gorgeous khaki blazer. I love that it’s slightly oversized, but still structured and not overwhelming. And for summer nights, I’ll be rewearing this polo collar cream cotton sweater. It feels like something Robert Redford would’ve won in The Way We Were.
