Happy Mother’s Day! I always think of Mother’s Day as the unofficial kickoff to summer – or at least, a great time to start getting ready for the official kickoff to summer. I thought I’d take the opportunity to highlight some of my favorite dresses under $100 I’ll be swanning around in all summer. Treat yourself!
In the header image, I’m wearing Quince. Shocker, I know. But they’re still my go-to for wallet-friendly, high-quality pieces. I’m so impressed with the quality of their fabrics whether it’s the cashmere, silk, or linen. Heading into summer, it’s linen that I’m focused on. The black linen scoop neck reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, which makes it perfect for any meandering European vacation walks you have this summer. Their shirtdress is linen too, and comes with a belt for a super flattering waisted silhouette.
For a slinkier number, Quince’s washable silk tank dress fits the bill. The sheen makes it sexy, but the cut makes it sporty. What a delicious contrast! The dark chocolate color would look really good with a tan and some statement gold earrings.
It’s been a while since I spent some time on Everlane’s site, but they’re looking pretty good to me right now! I really like the ladylike silhouette of this waisted cotton dress. In black, it feels dressier and almost Jackie O-esque. A white tank dress is a perfect throw-on-and-go outfit, especially if you pair with a fun pair of colorful sandals and a straw bag.
There are more than just neutrals, too. Mango and Gap both have colorful or printed options in classic silhouettes for maximum impact. I love the peony pink shade and the textured crinkle in this Gap midi dress. A red-and-blue floral shirtdress from Mango means you already have your Fourth of July outfit figured out.
