I firmly believe you can never have too much cashmere. Especially when the temperatures drop, and layering starts. A good cashmere sweater replaces my trusty white t-shirts in the daily uniform, whether it’s crewneck or v-neck. With stylish details like polo collars or extra-cozy ribbing, you’ll never get sick of the staple. There are so many affordable cashmere companies these days that it’s possible to really stock up on two or three of your favorite colors! What’s not to love about everyday cashmere?
One of our favorite direct-to-consumer cashmere brands is Naadam, who’s signature cashmere sweater is only $75!! And it’s comes in like fifteen different colors, from your favorite neutrals to seasonal colors like frost green, merlot, or lavender. Their Ribbed Crewneck, relaxed v-neck tunic, and extra cozy cocoon shawl are all taking the uniform up a level. Speaking of affordable, it doesn’t get much better than a $50 crewneck from Quince.
It’s no secret that I love COS this year, and this royal blue spread collar cashmere sweater is an absolute showstopper. Their Melange jumper has raglan sleeves and the perfect dark heather gray collar for the ultimate cozy, cocoon-y vibe. Alex Mill’s polo sweater is slightly cropped, and an excellent way to have more fun than your usual crewneck. For an extra fancy touch, upgrade your sweater with some cable-knit cashmere like this J.Crew sweater in fun colors like a pretty pink.
A cardigan has been one of my go-to sweaters lately, because there are so many different fits. For a more fitted, classic sweater I’ve been relying on Bloomingdale’s cashmere cardigan. Quince’s oversized boyfriend cardigan is perfect for a borrowed-from-the-boys look. The oversized, boxy fit of this Everlane sweater would look perfect with wide-leg pants.
