Jeans are personal. Every woman has her go-to pair – the pair you dress up, the pair you dress down, the pair that’s so comfortable you can even lounge on the couch. This fall, it’s time to refresh your jeans. We went through pages of jeans and put all of the best denim over at Bloomingdale’s in one place, so all you have to do is pick your favorite!
This year, it feels like denim trends are firmly moving into a wider leg, whether it’s a true wide-leg or a bootcut. Mother Denim’s The Hustler jeans in black are what I’m wearing, and plan to keep wearing, in the photo above. I love that the width starts at the thigh for a more balanced silhouette. If you want to really go wide, then Joe’s Jean’s Mia jean in a waxed black gives you major flare..and flair. These Tomcat jeans from Mother are wide from hip to the ground, giving you that super contemporary wide-leg feel.
One of my favorite ways to wear a bootcut is with a cropped version, which feels distinctly modern. And who doesn’t love letting their shoes shine? These mid-rise Weekender jeans in black or in a deep indigo inspire me to wear my favorite ankle booties. On the flip side, Frame’s Le High High is high-waisted and goes all the way down to the floor.
I always tend to go for vintage-inspired, straight leg denim. I like the proportions more than a true skinny, and a little more wearable than a dramatic flare. These Rag & Bone jeans are high-rise, and feel a little more elevated than your average jean. Mother’s The Hustler jean is a bit skinnier and more cropped, so you can show off your boots! The High N’Tight from Frame in an inky black is another favorite.
