Fall is the best time to splurge on an investment piece. It’s when all the luxury heavy hitters come out to play like sumptuous leather accessories, high quality knitwear, and sophisticated outerwear. But that all adds up to a hefty price tag so we rounded up some of the biggest pieces of the season – and the dupes that will help you get the same look for a whole lot less.
Everyone, including me, loves Jenni Kayne’s comfy cashmere sweaters. It’s the kind of West Coast cool brand that has become a staple in my wardrobe, like this cashmere fisherman hoodie. Lucky for me, I can afford to stock up on Quince’s fisherman hoodie version that’s a dead-ringer.
I’ve been lusting after one of The Row’s bags for years, especially the effortlessly chic Park bucket bag tote, but I just can’t stomach the price tag. The smallest size is $1500! Lucky for me, J.Crew’s Berkley bucket bag in black leather and calfskin scratches the same style itch.
It’s not fall without a proper blazer, and I really love my Veronica Beard double-breasted Miller jacket. I think it’s a great investment piece! But Mango’s double-breasted blazer will do the trick too!
The kitten heel isn’t going anywhere, so it’s the kind of big purchase I can justify. Miu Miu’s triple-buckle black patent leather heel is the shoe of the season, and I also love the more streamlined Gianvito Rossi version. Larroude’s Ines pump has black patent leather and buckles, and I can’t wait to wear with black leather pants.
Maybe you’ve seen the High Sport kick pant all over your Instagram feeds, too. Maybe you’ve been wondering if they’re really as magical as everyone says. I can’t speak to the magic of the original, but I can say with certainty that the Spanx Perfect Pant is one of my favorites this season!
