One of the questions I get the most often is about occasion dressing. It seems like everyone is looking for a fun, pretty dress whether you have a wedding to go to or want something pretty for summer vacation. Let me tell you: Farm Rio is your new favorite brand. It’s the perfect way to make a statement this summer.
I’ll start with dresses, because it’s what I get the most requests for during the summer. I know a lot of people have FOSD (Fear of Sleeveless Dresses). I don’t always love showing my arms, which is why I love when a brand includes sleeve options. The Jungle Dress has a puffy sleeve, but a wrap skirt silhouette that makes your waist look tiny. The hot pink-and-red color palette is unexpected but fun. Love Bridgerton? This Blooming Floral maxi dress has a similar neckline to the regency period, with a slit to show off your gams. Farm Rio also does a really great job with separates, if you don’t want to go too maximalist. It’s easy to pair a plain white tee with a fabulous skirt or your favorite jeans with a fresh top. On the skirt front, I love this orange-and-pink printed pineapple skirt in a breathable cotton. It feels like wearing a sunset. For an even breezier option, this chiffon-y tiered skirt is a masterclass in mixing patterns. Lace has been everywhere this summer, but this hot pink, long-sleeve top feels fresh in a sea of white eyelet. For a higher neck, this large floral print top would look perfect with a pair of wide-leg white denim.
