If you read In The Groove a lot, you know I love Frank and Eileen shirts. I talk about them, a lot! And what’s not to love? The clothes, in the brand’s own words, are a combination of Southern California and coastal Italian sensibility. Personally, I like to call it Nancy Meyers chic.
One of their signature shirts, the Eileen, is a bestseller with In The Groove readers. But a lot of that could just be me, because I love stocking up on this shirt in a lot of different colors. It’s the perfect silhouette for me. I love the longer hem in the back that covers my butt. I love the relaxed but not sloppy fit. And I really love the super flattering cut of the bust.
In the header image, I’m wearing two new releases. This cheery blue, pink, and salmon floral print from Liberty London feels like an Easter illustration come to life, and I especially love wearing it with a calm neutral like the wide-legged khakis in the image. I can also imagine it with white jeans or a longer denim skirt. In fact, there are tons of great color options. In the spirit of spring pastels, there’s a ballet slipper pink, a lilac purple, and a true French blue. Look at this subtle navy-and-pink stripe! It’s a perfect way in to color if you’re a little hesitant.
One of my favorite things about the Eileen shirt is how many different fabrics it comes in, so you can keep rocking yours in every season. Summer will be here before you know it, and their linen fabric is the perfect way to stay cool on even the hottest days. While I have their white linen in my regular rotation, I’ve been eyeing this blue, yellow, and pink plaid version too.
