Let’s face it: we’re going to be lounging for a little bit longer. And if you’re anything like me, you spent the holidays in matching pajamas with whatever family you were able to safely spend it with. Which was great at the time, but I’m ready to get dressed up in something a little more chic. This elevated lounging look checks all the boxes for me.
The key elements of this look: minimal, clean lines and a color palette made up of neutrals. Let’s start with the base, which should be a monochromatic sweat suit. Mango’s stretchy pants and hoodie look a lot more expensive than the price tag. The 80’s inspired fit of these grey sweats and this classic crewneck are sporty and retro. This knit hoodie, this sweatshirt turtleneck, and this padded sweatshirt are all updated takes on old favorites that instantly up your style factor.
Finally, the blazer and sweater. This check blazer in brown would work beautifully for a tone-on-tone moment. Anine Bing knows her way around tailoring, and the shape of this camel brown jacket is perfect. Don’t overthink it: J.Crew always has what we’re looking for and this grey double-breasted fits the bill. This H&M blazer is oversized, which makes it perfect for layering with thicker sweats. Obsessed with a half-zip moment, which you can even wear over a crewneck like a t-shirt.
Oh, and since I’m feeling positive, let’s talk about purses. I haven’t used one in months, because I’ve been at home, but this saddle brown bucket bag feels so fresh, stylish, and practical. I love this Monsieur Gavriel! Oh, and don’t forget the sneakers, because we’re definitely not moving back to stilettos anytime soon. These Vejas with splashes of pink and red keep it fun.
