Rachel Green, yes THAT Rachel. You know the one with the perfect figure, the perfect highlights and the perfectly adorable yes, no, yes, yes ,yes ping pong obsession with Ross. It made sense for Rachel to work as a personal shopper at Bloomingdales and then an executive at Ralph Lauren because even though her character’s look was simple, it was always simply perfect fashion.
It also makes sense that in real life Jennifer Aniston dresses like Rachel Green and vice versa. These women are indistinguishable from one another and their style is timeless. Yes, timeless as in ten seasons of time tested aprons, t- shirts and jeans. We love Aniston’s look on “Friends” and when she shows up on the cover of a gossip mag it’s always in her signature style. Aniston rocks a straw fedora like no one else. Her signature white v-neck tee was sexy cute and always on the money, even before Rachel segued from waitressing and made actual money.
When Rachel/Jennifer needs a little height, the perfect neutral wedge sandal is her jumping up point and she is always down for a just a little (did we say little) bling of a gold necklace to complete her simple daytime look.
While the world is shaking and upside down and the rest of us continue to change , “our” Rachel/Jennifer stays the same wearing the perfect pair of broken in bootcut jeans and a sly smile. We have just got to keep on loving her fifty year young self!
