There are no fashion rules anymore. Just because it’s freezing outside doesn’t mean your white jeans have to languish in the back of the closet! We’re here to tell you how to wear white jeans, in three different versatile looks.
Let’s start with the most important aspect: the white jeans! In the winter, I like something a little sharper and more fitted. And a cropped flare silhouette also looks great with every shoe pairing, from ankle boots to heels to sneakers. I’m wearing Frame’s Reboot Crop, but J.Crew’s mid-rise pair is just as great at a lower price point. Up next: how to style them!
The first look is a little more glamorous, with lots of rich textures and shades of brown. Brown feels sumptuous and unexcpected! And it’s a little softer than black. The real statement piece in this look is a fabulous Emilia George faux fur coat. These Sam Edelman brown suede boots continues the texture and color theme of the outfit, and a thick tan cable-knit sweater ties the whole look together.
For a sportier, more casual look, swap the suede boots for a chic pair of sneakers. I love Loewe’s elevated black-and-white retro inspired sneakers. Add some elegance with a cozy cashmere turtleneck from Quince that keeps you warm without looking like you’re trying too hard. For the final layer, throw on a leather motorcycle jacket for some instant downtown cool.
And last but not least, a look that can take you from day to night. The most-worn item in my closet is still a black blazer. I love Anine Bing’s not-too-slim, not-too-boxy Quinn Blazer. It’s easy to layer something underneath, like this fun leopard cashmere crewneck. I still love a heel, but it has to be comfortable. Luckily, this Veronica Beard Rita pointed toe pump is just a touch over 2 inches.
