It’s cashmere season, baby! I strongly believe that cashmere in all its forms is one of life’s greatest pleasures. So you can imagine how happy I’ve been over the last few years as direct-to-consumer companies like Naadam and Everlane started selling affordable, stylish, and still super-soft cashmere pieces. And since we’re all staying at home anyways, you might as well treat yourself to something that feels as good as it looks.
Let’s start with the classics: a really great crewneck. In the winter, a cashmere crewneck is my equivalent of a white t-shirt. I wear it with everything, it goes with everything, and it’s super comfortable. Everlane’s crew is a favorite, but so is J.Crew’s of course. Especially if you love a neon color or a monogram. Naadam’s is great, too!
If you’re looking to switch it up a little, how about a new silhouette? Everlane’s cashmere polo is effortlessly chic, and the easiest way to spruce up your loungewear. We’ve also been loving cashmere hoodies, which turns any sweatsuit into a full on look. I love this pale pink one, this shade of light gray, and this dark heather-y gray top. Naadam’s recycled cashmere hoodie has a matching pair of sweats, too!
Also trending this season? Sporty, retro-inspired half-zips reminiscent of J.Crew’s glory days. Upgrade your knitwear with a pale pink half-zip or this super cozy one. Let’s not forget about an It-Girl favorite: the turtleneck. The turtleneck’s rise to It Knit happened fast and furiously, but it’s not going anywhere. The Square Turtleneck from Everlane is a slightly cropped option perfect with high-waisted pants. The Oversized Stroop Turtleneck is longer and swingy. The Oversized Turtleneck from Naadam is big enough to be extra cozy, but still thin enough to tuck in.
