One of my strongest held fashion beliefs is that leopard never goes out of style. There are so many ways to wear the print, from a classic pump peeking out from your hem to a statement jacket that will turn heads. I like wearing it when I feel a little wild, but you can just as easily turn it into something refined and ladylike. And this time of year, a little leopard print is a refreshing take on party dressing.
Norma Kamala’s iconic puffer jacket takes a walk on the wild side this season with this stunning small-print leopard pattern. You can even double layer it with a paper thin tissue turtleneck if you want to be a true maximalist. In fact, there’s a lot of really great statement coats. Faux fur is a way to get even bigger look, like this Apparis knee length coat or Donna Karan’s slightly darker version. For an even more 70s-inspired take, this Velvet by Graham & Spencer coat makes you into an instant rockstar.
For more everyday flashes, I like to get cozy with it in a cat-like sweater. Like this Ronny Kobo cardigan or this extra-fluffy Sezane top. There are plenty of blouses to choose from too, whether you prefer a silky L’Agence number or a gauzier Vince Camuto option.
Accessories are an easy place to get a little wild, whether you’re swapping out your black boots for something a little more spirited or looking to upgrade your belt game. You’d be amazed what adding a leopard belt does to spruce up your daily uniform, like this J.Crew calf’s hair belt and this Banana Republic option with a gold belt. Le Monde Beryl’s mary-jane pumps or Sezane’s block heels feel positively sophisticated, and I would slip into these Ferragamo flats any day.
