There are a few stand-out pieces for me in their November drop. Unsurprisingly, it’s mostly outerwear. The swingy silhouette of this houndstooth cropped jacket brings instant drama and interest to any jeans and t-shirt. I’m drawn to velvet this year, and the sharp-shouldered Victorian tuxedo jacket is a great example of black velvet done right. Finally, this super cropped black wool jacket feels like a refreshing take on the lady jacket with jeweled buttons, a satin placket, and absolutely zero tweed.
Even the basics are, well, not-so-basic. Their Lived-In Forever Oxford has just the right amount of drama in the cuffs and collar. It’s slim enough to tuck in but there’s enough space to layer a tissue turtleneck underneath. The traveling Tailored Kick Flare is a little bit longer than the famous High Sport pair, but I think that makes them more flattering. And maybe my favorite unexpected detail? The two-way zipper on this navy blue cardigan. Imagine it layered over this thin ribbed grey sweater and trousers. So chic!
Maybe it’s because I really need something to celebrate right now, but I’m already thinking about holiday parties. This show-stopping organza silk maxi dress is definitely a big ticket item, but it would look so beautiful with statement earrings and sparkly shoes. A ladylike pleated midi skirt takes a festive turn done in a rich gold shade. A sheer black lace blouse keeps things sexy with a suggestion of skin, which I would pair with high-waisted trousers.
