Mersea may have started as a travel company, but their flattering, classic clothes have gotten just as much wear in my daily uniform as they do in my suitcase. I went through Mersea’s newest collection to pick out the best transitional pieces for you. From extra-cozy ponchos for traveling to the perfect navy blue peacoat, shop our fall picks now.
I have a feeling that the peacoat is going to have a moment this year, and I’ll be proudly rocking this navy blue version. I love the extra-wide collar and cropped length which give it a nautical spin. If you feel like it’s too soon for a heavy coat, Mersea also has perfect transitional pieces. I love their extra-drapey, long t-shirts that are super comfy. The Catalina Slub tee in an oatmeal-y shade adds interest and shape to your average jeans and t-shirt. It also comes in a fun striped version in hunter green, which I think is going to be the color of the season. On the more classic side of things, of course you can always reach for a crisp new white button down or a French-inspired long sleeve t-shirt.
Of course, when it comes to fall, I always have sweaters on the brain. The Carolina V-Neck sweater has a similar drape to it, but the thick navy and white stripe makes it feel like an easy bridge from summer to fall. I also love the smaller stripe version, which is more of a classic French stripe. The Avery Cardigan is in navy and white too, and I love the Chanel-y vibe combined with the oversized shape. And for fun, the Amour sweater has fun heart patches on the elbow for a little something extra.
