I’m not one for a big, huge New Year’s Eve party. But I am always down to dress up a bit. We picked out some fun outfits at one of our favorite places to shop, Saks! No matter what your plans are to ring in the new year, you can still bring some serious style and fun – even if you’re just eating at home with loved ones and some good champagne.
Are you sick of sequins yet? I’m not! Sequins make everything feel special. This Staud pencil skirt in a creamy vanilla is so elegant. I’ve already worn it to one holiday party, and I can’t wait to wear it again. If you want to tone it down a bit, just throw on a perfectly oversized sweater in a matching cream. It’s a perfect high-low mix!
Speaking of high-low, a pair of sequined jeans goes perfectly with cashmere, too! Separates can tone down the dressy factor of sequins, so you could always pair a beautiful Kobi Halperin tunic or a midnight-blue Zadig & Voltaire button down with your favorite beat-up jeans and heels.
If you’re sequined-out after Christmas, there are other ways to make a statement. Like color! I’m really into a bright red look. This ALC dress is ruched in all the right places, making it both beautiful and flattering. Plus, you can rewear it at any upcoming weddings. I love this long-sleeve dress with a slightly draped back. Don’t worry, it’s high enough to still wear a bra.
Don’t forget about the transformative power of accessories. A new pair of shoes or earrings can make your favorite little black dress feel brand new. I love these dangly, sparkly earrings that remind me of pretty little bows. Platform gold heels will take any outfit to the next level.
