When it comes to iconic American brands, Nike is certainly one of the biggest. The almost 60 year old company is getting better with age, just like us. Their sneakers are stylish enough to wear with your favorite jeans or trousers, and comfortable enough to walk in for miles. From classic styles like Air Force Ones to new silhouettes that make a splash with neon, you’ll find your new favorite pair.
Classics
Nike has some iconic shoes that are better today than they were when they launched. The Blazer is a clean, crisp white shoe that recalls tennis courts and country clubs – which is why I love the new update with a jumbo black Nike Swoosh. There’s also a version in white and pink! It feels fresh and contemporary, and just plain cool. The Nike Daybreak is another classic – the kind of sneaker that goes with everything. I love the tone-on-tone cream and beige palette of this sneaker, which plays with texture thanks to the suede.
Color Bomb
Even if you wear mostly neutrals, like me, adding bright sneakers is an easy way to get some color into your outfit. The Air Max down comes in a preppy pink and green palette, and the Pre-Day sneakers comes in a cool lavender and black color way. For the maximalists, how about a gold, fuchsia, orange, green, and blue sneaker? That’s right – it’s like wearing a rainbow. Also, for a more low-key take on color, how about a tan and gold sneaker with a clean white swoosh?
Prints
There aren’t that many sneakers with prints on them, but Nike does have two knockouts. The Daybreak sneaker comes with the Nike swoosh in a fun leopard print. Finally, the Nike Metcon 7 is a training shoe – but don’t let that fool you. They are stylish, with a black and white python-inspired print on the upper.
