The other day I was browsing Net-A-Porter when a particularly interesting kick flare pant caught my eye. Turns out it was just one of Ninety Percent’s thoughtful, elevated essentials. The female-founded brand doesn’t just make beautiful clothes. Every season, they share 90% of their profits with charitable causes and the people who help them make the collections. These are clothes that you can feel good about buying, in more way than one.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the kick flare pant is having a moment. All the fashion girls have been wearing High Sport pants but I can’t justify spending over $700 on a single pair. Enter: The Nabila pant. While it’s in a basic black, it has all the same shapes of a kick flare. I especially love it for travel. Their straight-leg sweatpants in white crisp up your sloppy sweats. usually make it into my suitcase too, because you can dress it up with heels or rock it with sneakers.
Once a year, I clean out all of my t-shirts. This year I’ll be restocking with some of Ninety Percent’s organic cotton shirts. They come in all shapes and sizes, but the Marisa t-shirt is a classic v-neck while their Drew is a slightly boxier crewneck that I love in a white or a lighter navy. The Tadeo top has a longer short sleeve and a polo collar, perfect for dressing up your usual jeans-and-tshirt.
This white shirtdress-esque silhouette on the Evia Dress is one I’ll be pulling out all summer, from BBQs to touristy walking. If you’re looking for something a little more conservative, the Argyra dress gives you some more sleeve. The butterfly-esque sleeve and belted waist on the Mythos dress is a flattering shape, and the Tercel fabric keeps things breezy for summer.
