Every summer, I anxiously wait for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale like a kid waiting for Christmas. And clearly, other people do too because things sell out fast. I tend to approach sale shopping as setting up a foundation for my wardrobe for the next year. There’s tons of new denim, an opportunity to stock up on fresh bras, and plenty of leisurewear and beauty. And if you see something you like, snatch it up while you still can!
Fall is the perfect time to refresh your denim, and if you shop the sale then you can get more styles – which is never a bad thing. FRAME’s Le High Waist jeans are my favorites right now. I love the mid-blue wash and slight bootcut flare. Paige’s High Waist flare are similar, in a deeper indigo shade. Looking for something cropped? Paige’s Laurel Canyon jeans and Madewell’s Perfect Vintage jeans are a straight-cut dream.
Coat season is coming! A statement coat is a great thing to have, especially when it’s the only thing most people see during the winter months. The AllSaints Balfern leather biker jacket is always cool, a reversible cashmere and wool poncho is perfect for layering, and this Lauren Ralph Lauren quilted jacket feels like the English countryside.
Stock up on basics too, like an everyday cotton poplin shirt in white and in navy stripe, high-waisted black leggings from Zella, and a Vince cashmere cardigan for snuggling. Nothing is more basic than bras, and there’s no better time to stock up for the year. Get your convertible strapless bra from Wacoal, a wire-free t-shirt bra, and a racerback bralette.
Don’t forget about shoes! I think there’s something very chic about a flat riding boot underneath a long skirt or dress, and these Aquatalia Cambria black leather boots will help me execute my new fall look. Stuart Weitzman’s Luxering bootie is like wearing shoes with jewelry.
