Denim is the cornerstone of every truly stylish woman’s wardrobe, and it’s never been easier to get an affordable pair. Of course, there are still plenty of $400 pairs of designer denim floating around. But there are a lot of truly great denim under $100, from brands like Quince and Gap. Shop our favorites now.
I was talking to a friend the other day who works in fashion, and they were raving about how much high quality denim is on the market these days. As a former fashion retail person myself, I ordered a pair from Quince to see if he was right. I was truly shocked by how great these jeans look and feel. They’re exactly the kind of jeans I’m looking for these days. There’s just the right amount of stretch. This mid-rise cropped flare pair and these high-rise wide leg jeans are my two favorites.
A pair of jeans under $100 is a perfect way to dip your toe into some trendier silhouettes, like the barrel jean. Quince’s pair is a more relaxed version, with the right amount of structure but not over exaggerated. On the similarly slouchy front, Zara’s mom jeans has a little bit of a drop crotch – which is a staple of all the cool girl jeans right now.
Ever since Zac Posen took over as Gap’s creative director, the brand has brought back some of that old magic. I love these high waisted pants with a 70s vibe and cute patch pockets. These classic 90’s dark wash jeans are straight, high, and skinny. The dark wash is an easy way to dress to feel a little dressier, too. Also, don’t over think it. Levi’s 501s are still a timeless addition to any wardrobe. These are jeans that look better the more you wear them, sculpting perfectly to your butt.
