Accessory trends may come and go, but readers are forever. Especially now, when I’m more time telling myself to get dressed and less time actually putting together an outfit. When it’s a struggle to get dressed, adding a fun pair of readers feels like the cherry on top of my sartorial sundae. As you all know, we really love CADDIS here at In The Groove.
In fact, we love them so much, we did a whole collaboration and photoshoot with them to celebrate our one year anniversary. So it’s no surprise that when it comes to reading glasses, we’re often reaching for whatever pair of CADDIS frames is closest to us. Their Miklos frames are an old favorite, and during our collaboration we picked used this beautiful bone shade, but I’m loving them in this tortoise, which I can never resist. Their retro-inspired aviator shades in blush pink are perfect for anyone looking for some serious personality shades. Everyone from Dior to Gucci is still churning out cat-eye shaped frames, and CADDIS’s new cat-eyes are just as chic and way more affordable.
Of course, I always say that we are equal opportunity shoppers, so there are other stylish reading glasses on the market. I’m not wearing a lot of color right now when it comes to my clothes, which means that reading glasses are a great way to get a splash of color. These blue and pink frames are a great way to do pastels that don’t feel childish, plus they make me think of cotton candy. These Lizard of Oz readers are seriously out there, between the fun octagonal shape and terra-cotta colored arms. If you’re still looking for something wild, how about these Eyebobs, which are a swirl of pink, orange, and yellow that will remind you of the world’s best sherbet?
