White t-shirts are the foundation of every stylish woman’s wardrobe, and it’s a perfect time to swap out your older, dingy ones for something a little more fresh. Find your perfect white t-shirt at every price point! Because good style shouldn’t have to break the bank.
White shirts, when worn often (as they should be), get dirty. Even the freshest Tide pen can’t get rid of all of your neck rings or stains you discover too late. For this reason, it makes sense to not shell too much out for a tee. And you don’t have to! Because there are so many good ones out there. Like this fitted Uniqlo crewneck tee, Quince’s slub cotton tee with great sleeves, or J.Crew’s slim cut tee which all ring in under $20.
The next step up? The 30-60 dollar range. Maybe the fabric is a little softer, or a little more rigid. I love Everlane’s essential slim cut in a cozy cotton. COS is great with oversized shirts that don’t lose their shape! I love their take on a v-neck with longer, looser sleeves to the elbow, Alex Mill’s vintage-inspired tee feels lived-in in all the right ways, plus it’s made in LA!
If you’re really looking to splurge, you can argue that it should be on a basic you can count on. As t-shirts get more expensive, the difference is really in the fabric and fit. The perfect t-shirt might be a matter of millimeters! But those few millimeters can make it feel more formal and elevated. For me, the Anthony Thomas Melillo slub cotton t-shirt is my go-to fancy feeling t-shirt. I also finally caved and bought a Le Set t-shirt, after seeing it all over my Instagram feed. It lives up to the hype! And Vince’s shrunken tee is a bit heavier, perfect for wearing under a blazer.
